Assistant, Associate or Professor in Thoracic Surgery

About the role

The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida is seeking a tenure/non-tenure accruing position in Thoracic Surgery to join their team at The University of Florida Shands Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Support the Division’s growth in Lung Transplantation (on track for 72 transplants this year)
• Support the Division’s growth in Extracorporeal Life Support and Thoracic Oncology (90% resections done minimally invasively, mostly robotic)
• Experience in lung transplantation is required
• Ideal candidates will have robotic exposure and an interest in esophageal disease

Requirements

• Must have a MD degree or equivalent
• Be board certified or eligible in Thoracic and Cardiovascular surgery
