About the role
The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix seeks an experienced, accomplished, and innovative independent investigator with an MD, MD/PhD, or PhD degree whose research interests are focused on a field that relates to the health of children and adolescents.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an extensively federally funded and internationally competitive research program.
- Publish research findings in leading journals.
- Develop collaborations with pertinent faculty within the college and partner institutions.
- Contribute to the teaching and service missions of the college.
- Engage in external academic and professional activities.
Requirements
- Have an MD, PhD or MD/PhD degree or the equivalent.
- Be eligible for a University of Arizona academic appointment at the associate professor level or higher.
- Be eligible for employment with Phoenix Children’s.
- Have an outstanding track record in scholarship and sustained extramural funding as a principal investigator and demonstrate success in program development and mentoring.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include having an MD, PhD or MD/PhD degree or the equivalent.
- Preferred qualifications include being eligible for a University of Arizona academic appointment at the associate professor level or higher.
- Must be eligible for employment with Phoenix Children’s.
