Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (HS Clin, Clin X) Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine

About the role

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Diego is seeking physicians to join their faculty at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in their Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care, both independently and in collaboration with trainees
• Engage in the development and implementation of successful educational, community-based, or advocacy programs within the field of Adolescent Medicine and other related fields
• Teach and educate trainees and pursue scholarly pursuits or research in clinical, translational, or basic science

Requirements

• MD or equivalent degree
• Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics or Internal Medicine
• California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California
• Minimum of 3 years of training in Pediatrics, Med-Peds, Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine, or Hospital Medicine
• Experience working collaboratively across disciplines
• Strong clinical experience
• Experience in medical student/resident education and teaching
• Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages

Qualifications

• Candidates must have an MD or equivalent.
• Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics or Internal Medicine.
• Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
• Candidates with a minimum of 3 years of training in Pediatrics, Med-Peds, Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine, or Hospital Medicine are preferred.
• Candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience working collaboratively across disciplines are preferred.
• Candidates with a minimum of 3 years of strong clinical experience are preferred.
• Candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience in medical student/resident education and teaching are preferred.
• Candidates with fluency in Spanish and/or other languages are preferred.
