Job Summary

The Department of Neurology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a neuromuscular neurologist to join our growing team. This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services at UW Hospital and Clinics, VA Hospital, and other affiliated locations as needed.
  • Lead outpatient and inpatient neuromuscular clinics, EMG clinics, and muscle/nerve biopsy activities.
  • Taught medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the rank.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members in a collegial environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Completed a neurology residency program.
  • Neuromuscular fellowship or equivalent experience required.
  • Training in muscle/nerve pathology desirable.
  • Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in one of the following: American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (AOBNP).
  • MWI medical license by the start date.

Preferred Qualifications

  • For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CT or CHS track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS or CT track.

Compensation

Negotiable, Annual (12 months)
