Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced clinical care in critical care cardiology
  • Deliver comprehensive general cardiology services
  • Collaborate with division and institute leadership to support programmatic growth
  • Engage in scholarly activity, clinical research, and academic initiatives
  • Contribute to medical education through teaching and mentorship
  • Support the Medical School’s mission through service, collaboration, and community engagement

Qualifications

  • M.D. or equivalent degree
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Critical Care Cardiology
  • Eligibility for and ability to obtain a Minnesota medical license
  • Advanced training in critical care cardiovascular medicine
  • Demonstrated expertise in general cardiology patient management
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. work authorization

Pay and Appointment Details

  • Appointment: 100%
  • Position Type: Faculty and P&A Staff
  • Compensation: - The position is jointly employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians
  • University academic salary begins at $55,000, dependent on academic effort
  • Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians
  • Total compensation is competitive and aligned with AAMC benchmarks
