About The Job

The Cardiovascular Division at the University of Minnesota has a growing regional and national reputation in cardiovascular clinical care and research. As part of our continued program expansion, the Division is recruiting a critical care cardiologist, in the Academic track.

The candidate will work closely with Cardiovascular Division and Lillehei Heart Institute leadership to advance the University’s clinical and academic missions.

Medical School, Division and Section Description

The University of Minnesota Medical School advances cardiovascular science through pioneering research, trains and mentors future leaders, shares faculty expertise with medical professionals and the public, and provides compassionate, state-of-the-art cardiovascular care for the most complex patients we serve.

Qualifications

  • Required: M.D. or equivalent degree
  • Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Critical Care Cardiology
  • Mandatory expertise in advanced training in critical care cardiovascular medicine and comprehensive general cardiology patient care management
  • Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States

Pay And Benefits

Pay Range: This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent upon academic effort of the person hired, and begins at $55,000. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary is competitive with market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
