The successful candidate will maintain a robust sponsored research program, supervise graduate students, collaborate with faculty across disciplines, and contribute to university and professional service.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong sponsored research program, actively pursuing and managing externally funded projects (grants, contracts, etc.) and ensuring continuous research productivity.
- Supervise graduate students by providing mentorship, research guidance, and potentially serving as a thesis or dissertation advisor.
- Collaborate with faculty both within and outside the department to foster interdisciplinary research and initiatives.
- Contribute to service within the university and the profession through committee participation, academic paper reviews, conference organization, and other community engagements.
Requirements
- Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. and/or M.D. in Biomedical Sciences or a related biomedical field.
- Outstanding record of research accomplishments.
- Strong interest in graduate education.
- Commitment to professional service.
