About the role
The Department of Molecular Biomedical Sciences (MBS) at the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University invites applications for a position in Nutrition at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Clinical or Tenure/Tenure Track Professor of Nutrition. The Nutrition Service at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine is a crucial component of our research, teaching, and clinical missions. Therefore, we are open to recruiting multiple faculty.
Responsibilities
- Provide nutritional consults and clinical service as needed
- Contribute to teaching
- Contribute to house officer and graduate student training
- Engage in research related to animal nutrition and its clinical implications
- Oversee nutrition clinical case management
- Provide high-quality clinical and pre-clinical teaching
- Demonstrate research productivity through the procurement of external grant funding and the publication of peer-reviewed scientific papers
- Participate in college and departmental committees
Qualifications
- A doctoral degree, an equivalent qualification, or comparable professional experience.
- A DVM or equivalent degree, along with residency training in Veterinary Nutrition (ACVIM or recognized European equivalent).
- Diplomate Status, PhD, Boarded in a second specialty.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a collegial, team-oriented environment.
- A genuine interest in teaching and mentoring veterinary students and residents, with the aptitude to excel in both areas.
