- Perform environmental monitoring on classified areas and utility systems.
- Collect and/or test environmental, utility, raw material, or validation samples using specific laboratory methods.
- Follow Grifols, GMP, and GLP guidelines to ensure accurate and safe work practices.
- Participate in non-routine duties, housekeeping tasks, and project activities such as standard and control preparations, method validations, comparison studies, etc.
Requirements
- Assistant Level: AA or BS in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or BS in Biology, Chemistry, or related field with 6-12 months of applicable laboratory experience. Background in Medical Technology/CLS preferred, experience in GLP/GMP lab required.
- Associate Level: AA or BS in Medical Technology/CLS or BS in Biology, Chemistry, or related field with 2 years of applicable laboratory experience. Background in Medical Technology/CLS preferred, experience in GLP/GMP lab required.
Qualifications
- Office and laboratory/manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to biological fluids and potential exposure to infectious organisms.
- Occasional exposure to extreme cold below 32°F in production areas.
- Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment.
- Personal protective equipment required (protective eyewear, garments, gloves).
Skills
- Sit or stand for 2-4 hours per day.
- Frequent hand movement with ability to make fast, simple movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
- Precise coordinated movements of the fingers to grasp and manipulate objects.
- Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects up to 35 lbs.
- Occasionally walks, bends, twists neck and waist, reaches above or below shoulder height.
- Frequent foot movements.
- Color perception/discrimination and near vision correctable to 20/30 and 20/100 in each eye.
- Able to communicate complex information and ideas clearly.
