About the role
The Wealth Investment Solutions (WIS) business within Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) manages over $400bn in assets across equity and fixed income customized portfolios in addition to a range of fund solutions. WIS is an industry leader in delivering personalized portfolios and investment strategies for individual investment objectives, including direct indexing, tax-managed, factor-based and environmental & socially responsible portfolios to high-net-worth, institutional, and retail clients.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior digital product managers to manage a roadmap and execute it, driving progress throughout the end-to-end product management life cycle and ensure a successful product release.
- Become a subject matter expert on the end-to-end client experience relevant to your specific pillar coverage; Stay up to date on day-to-day processes across various teams that touch the client experience, including portfolio management teams, client portfolio management teams, sales teams, operations teams, and user interviews.
- Partner with product managers, designers, engineers and stakeholders across multiple cross-functional teams to develop innovative digital solutions and ensure consensus throughout the product manage lifecycle.
- Create JIRA tickets, functional requirements, and any required documentation relevant to the specific project.
- Create a testing plan and validate testing results to ensure smooth rollout of the product enhancement.
- Measure the performance of the product over time to help inform future enhancements and prioritization.
- Communicate written and verbally to announce release notes, escalate issues, or relevant updates.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience or familiarity with investing concepts (equities/fixed income, direct indexing, tax loss harvesting, tax management, evaluating performance/risk, etc.) and/or operational concepts (account onboarding, life cycle events).
- A technical background to understand quantitative investment analytics, process maps, data dependencies, drive testing/validation plan across edge cases, and partner with engineering; Preferably an undergraduate and/or graduate degree in mathematics, computer science, financial engineering, or other STEM-related background.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to document specifications and communicate effectively across teams.
- Excellent communication skills across verbal, written emails, and powerpoints (e.g. visualizations, diagrams, etc.) to effectively partner with various stakeholders across the organization.
- Excitement towards learning about the investment business, improving the client investment experience, and delivering high-quality products.
- Interest in working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to pivot and align with changing priorities.
- Interest in making data-driven decisions and using data to measure the performance of products.
- Willingness to get into nuanced details necessary to drive high-quality decision-making and ensure prudent risk management that can impact the investment experience.
- A great attitude and openness to learn, be a team player, and collaborate with others.
