Responsibilities
- Conduct due diligence and evaluate GP stakes and preferred equity transactions, with a specific focus on fundamental valuation across a broad range of strategy and sector focused GPs.
- Develop materials and present investment opportunities to the Investment Committee through written and oral presentations, and conduct required follow-up analysis.
- Cook up the execution of investments across all deal types, including working closely with internal (e.g., internal counsel, compliance, risk and liquidity management) and external parties (e.g., private market GPs, external counsel).
- Coordinate with internal and external parties to execute investments.
- Aid in cultivating relationships with leading alternative asset managers for GP stakes and related capital solutions; contribute to thematic sourcing initiatives to support a robust pipeline.
- Monitor the performance and risk profile of existing portfolio investments.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Investment Banking/Corporate Finance/M&A/Leverage Finance/GP stakes/Private Equity/Other Private or Public Markets Investing.
- Sound investment judgment and outstanding numerical, modeling, analytical and valuation skills for the purpose of assessing investment opportunities.
- Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills enabling the candidate to make robust recommendations to the Investment Committee and interact effectively with third parties.
- Excellent time, people, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Pay
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$170000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
