Responsibilities

• Contribute to shortage reduction and investigations.
• Work closely with the General Manager to ensure all employees follow policies and procedures.
• Maintain the employee entrance where applicable and track all packages delivered through it (excluding normal scheduled shipments).
• Conduct store physical security checks and recommend loss‑prevention improvements.
• Perform figure‑8 patrols and remain constantly moving throughout the store.
• Provide a visual presence at the entrance/exit with courteous, professional interaction with customers.
• Conduct safety inspections and communicate hazards to store management.
• Greet customers as a Five Below associate.

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of retail loss‑prevention experience.
• Basic understanding of retail or security operations.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to stand/walk the sales floor for 8 hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lb.
• Regular time and attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to work independently.
• Full understanding of Five Below policies and procedures.
• General product knowledge in key departmental areas.

Pay

Hourly position starting at $16.50.

Schedule

Ability to work nights and weekends appropriately to retail business needs.
