Responsibilities
- Oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building
- Walks through and around the exterior of the entire facility conducting Safety/Hazard/Security audits
- Continually monitors the hazardous materials storeroom and cleans up spills
- Oversees and supervises the disposition of damaged items, loads items onto push carts, and moves to a safe location
- Walks throughout the facility and conducts general investigations, inventory counts, and cycle counts
- Uses computers and office equipment
- Reads Standard Operating Procedures, hears fire/security alarms and phones, and monitors CCTV
- Provides training to other employees
- Performs housekeeping duties, keeps floors clean, and maintains neat work areas
- Promotes and maintains a safe, healthy, and injury-free environment for all team members by being a safety champion through proper use of PPE, safe operation of powered equipment, and safe lifting techniques
- Actively participates in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours
- Experience with CCTV preferred
- Degree in Criminal Justice or 3-5 years of practical experience in Security, Loss Prevention, or Law Enforcement Field preferred
- Able to work a varied schedule to include early mornings, swing shift, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary
- CPR/First Aid Certified or able to obtain certification through company-provided training
