Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, standardization, innovation within the assigned area to maintain operation in the safest and most productive condition possible, while implementing continual improvements.
  • Supports EHS across the plant.
  • Enhances the reliability of asset protection systems and supports EHS across the plant.
  • Supports breakdowns outside normal working hours.
  • Trains, mentors, and guides fellow craftsmen.
  • Follows up on reoccurring problems to improve reliability including design changes.
  • Works with vendors on specific equipment.
  • Aids in electrical documentation (DCN’s, etc).
  • Works with planners/schedulers to ensure adequate spares are on site and in BOM.
  • Develops/Updates and publishes JIs, Checklists, PMs.
  • Aids in predictive and precision maintenance.
  • Reports to Assoc EMRA – Asset Protection.
  • Enters time on WO’s as needed based on work done that day, enters notifications, TECO WO’s with notes.
  • Occasionally assists other maintenance teams in EM with project installs and manpower needs.
  • Provides site support for periodic loss prevention visits and audits as required (both NNA and external).
  • Attends certification training on system installation and applicable NYS Code.
  • Supports other plants in similar discipline if needed.

Qualifications

  • Greater than 1 year experience
  • Current Pay Grade 7 preferred (or higher)
  • Able to work well with others one on one & in groups/team settings
  • Receptive to feedback/input from process, operations, engineering, peers etc
  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrates ability to transfer knowledge to others
  • Demonstrates passion and enthusiasm for improving equipment reliability
  • Fiber Optic communications repair and maintenance preferred
