Asset Management Specialist
About the role
The Asset Management Specialist will own the end-to-end lifecycle of customer-deployed assets, ensuring accuracy and operational rigor. This includes deployment, swaps and replacements in the field, return merchandise authorizations (RMA), and end-of-life processes. The role will also drive the RMA process for field-defective hardware, triage QA failures, and guide purchasing decisions.
Responsibilities
- Own the health, accuracy, and operational rigor of every customer-deployed asset
- Stand up the RMA process for field-defective hardware
- Triage QA failures, drive root-cause conversations with vendors, and feed insights into purchasing and engineering decisions
- Guide purchasing decisions on customer peripherals
- Drive the long tail of the Hexnode to Esper migration to completion
- Build troubleshooting playbooks for Tier 2 and Tier 1 support teams
- Participate in rollout and rollback initiatives for fleet-wide hardware refreshes and configuration changes
- Own the cleanup of devices stuck in transition states
- Be a first-class voice in the design of fleet management tooling
Requirements
3-4 years of relevant experience across some combination of IT asset management, hardware support engineering, MDM administration, field operations, or customer-facing IT for a hardware product. Hands-on exposure to the operational reality of a deployed hardware fleet, strong systems thinking, writing chops, and comfort working with engineers as peers are essential.
Qualifications
A builder's curiosity, experience contributing to or maintaining a CMDB, familiarity with Salesforce, and prior experience as the first person in a function are desirable. A track record of partnering with customer-facing teams to make their work easier is also valued.
Skills
Strong systems thinking, writing chops, and comfort working with engineers as peers are crucial. Experience with configuration management databases (CMDB), Salesforce, and light scripting or SQL is beneficial. A builder's mindset and a willingness to learn new tools to automate work are highly appreciated.

Pay
The estimated base salary range for this role is $85,000, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package.
