Asset Backed Securities (ABS) Structurer

This role is for a strategic professional who closely follows the latest trends in their field and adapts them for application within their job and the business. Recognized as a subject matter expert, this individual will have strong commercial awareness and be an acknowledged authority both within and outside their area of expertise. Excellent communication skills are required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level, and some external communication is typically necessary.

Responsibilities

• Pricing and developing innovative financial products for investors
• Payoff risk and P&L impact pre-trade and post-trade scenario analysis
• Customized back tests and client portfolio analysis
• Participate in pre-trade and post-sales efforts, working closely with dedicated institutional sales
• Contribute to the development of new products and payoffs
• Create marketing presentations and participate in client meetings
• Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, and Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
• Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance, supervision, expense discipline, and ethics
• Assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions and ensure team members understand the need to do the same, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
• Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services, ensuring team members do the same
• Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by the role
• Obtain and maintain all required registrations/licenses for the role within the appropriate timeframe
• Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets

Requirements

• 15+ years of structuring experience from a financial institution
• Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work cohesively with multiple functional groups

Qualifications

Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred.

Pay

Full-time salary range: $200,000.00 - $300,000.00. In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
