Assessor Reviewer

About the role

Assessor Reviewers conduct assessments for persons with disabilities, primarily face-to-face with occasional virtual assessments. They may also complete review decisions regarding services needed for community success. Assessments are submitted within 1-2 days of the interview to allow for quality review before submission to the client by the deadline. QA checks are conducted on all assessments.

Responsibilities

• Performs face-to-face and/or virtual assessments of persons with disabilities.
• Collaborates with healthcare providers and ancillary service providers to create or validate appropriate treatment plans as required by some contracts.
• Documents assessment results for individual member status or negotiates service plans as needed.
• Provides ongoing education.
• Communicates with all healthcare providers to ensure appropriateness of care.

Requirements

• Two or four-year degree in a health care or related field.
• Required to pass and maintain a SIS certification (provided by Telligen).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Reliable transportation and proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Experience in human services with the ID/DD population is strongly preferred.
• Experience with assessments is a plus but not required.
• Must reside in one of the following Maryland counties: Prince George’s County, Anne Arundel County, Queen Anne’s County, Frederick County, Washington County, Carroll County, or Wicomico County.
