Assessor/ICDFR Quality Start (UEC)

About the role

University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Responsibilities

• Using the CLASS Observation to conduct assessments at various childcare centers.
• Recording and documenting observations of teachers/teachers in classrooms.
• Utilizing observations to provide feedback (scored and anecdotal) on the quality of teacher(s) interactions with children.
• Sharing feedback with a team of coaches to highlight strengths and improve care quality.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program.
• A minimum of satisfactory completed coursework in child psychology, child development, clinical counseling, or related field (e.g., social work, psychology, etc.) is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• The ability to work independently and display a professional manner.
• Experience in child and family intervention or a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in child psychology, child development, clinical counseling, or related field (e.g., social work, etc.) is preferred.
• Must be able to pass CLASS observation tool training and certification (provided).
• Live Scan and background check upon conditional job offer.

Pay

$24.00 per hour.

Schedule

Up to 19 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically varied hours Monday-Friday. Some nights and weekends may be required.
