Assessment Specialist, RN Behavioral Health

About the role

Carrollton Springs, a 78‑bed behavioral health hospital in Carrollton, TX, is seeking an Assessment Specialist RN. As part of Lifepoint Health’s mission to make communities healthier, you will provide compassionate, high‑quality care and support the department’s clinical, operational, and administrative excellence.

Responsibilities

• Support departmental needs with a focus on clinical, operational, and administrative excellence.
• Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and communicate with external review organizations.
• Provide care in psychiatric emergency settings, crisis care, and work with patients experiencing chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, and other psychiatric conditions.
• Collaborate with families to motivate and support treatment goals.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current, unencumbered state nursing license.
• Previous experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility, preferably with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, and psychiatric patients.
• Experience in psychiatric emergency department, crisis care, patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations.
• CPR certification and De‑escalation certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
