Assessment Specialist, RN

Full-time, 7pm-7:30am or 9pm-5:30am

About the Role

As an Assessment Specialist, RN at Triangle Springs, you will contribute to our mission of making communities healthier by facilitating responses to requests for services, including assessments, referrals, and admissions. Your role is vital in ensuring patients receive the appropriate level of care.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate response to requests for services, including initial response, assessment, referral, designation of appropriate level of care, admission, and follow-up.
• Conduct initial evaluations, document patient symptomology, functioning, and needs, and provide information to physicians for level-of-care determinations.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills when assisting patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers.
• Maintain clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork, processes, and EMTALA regulations.
• Ensure accuracy in preadmission and admission paperwork and complete precertification with insurance companies.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing or hold relevant state licensure.
• Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, and psychiatric patients.
• Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.
