Assessment Specialist

About the role

Copper Springs East is operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. As an Assessment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in facilitating responses to requests for services, conducting assessments, and ensuring appropriate care levels.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate response to a request for services, including initial response, assessment, referral process, designation of appropriate level of care, admission into services, and follow-up activity
• Conduct initial evaluation, initiate assessment, document patient symptomology, functioning, and needs, and provide information to MD for LOC determination
• Exhibit excellent customer service skills in assisting patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers in a prompt and courteous manner
• Demonstrate clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork and processes and EMTALA
• Maintain all preadmission and admission paperwork with accuracy and complete pre-certification with insurance companies

Requirements

• Possess current state LMFT, LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LPCC, or LAC license
• Hold a Master's degree from an accredited school
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
• ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire
• One year of relevant experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
