Assessment Lead & Soccer Coach - Part Time
About the Role
COPA STC is seeking a part-time Assessment Coach with a passion for sports, science, and innovation. This role requires 3-4 days of availability per week and offers competitive compensation, on-site training, free facility access, and internal career pathways across divisions such as player development, data science, business development, marketing, and social media. Coaches will also lead COPA’s youth training sessions in a unique, technology-driven environment.
Working at COPA STC involves using innovative technologies and cutting-edge sports science to deliver impactful private and small-group training sessions for athletes ranging from world-class players to beginners. Coaches will follow the COPA methodology and curriculum to drive player development.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the COPA Score assessment protocol in a controlled, standardized testing environment.
- Conduct high-quality soccer training sessions for COPA’s youth membership athletes.
- Engage daily with athletes of all levels, from youth to professional.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and technology-driven environment for athletes to thrive.
- Participate in staff development and outreach events.
- Additional responsibilities may include team testing events, on-site/off-site COPA Score activations, and camp coaching.
Schedule & Availability
- 15-20 hours per week.
- At least two weekdays available between 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
- At least one weekend day available between 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience coaching youth soccer (ages 8-18).
- Physical ability to perform exercise and sports-related movements, lift up to 45 pounds, and stand/walk for prolonged periods.
- Degree (or in pursuit of one) in coaching, kinesiology, or sports science preferred.
- Ability to learn and operate COPA’s technology, software, and hardware.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Solution-oriented approach to handling customer issues.
