Youth Soccer Coach - Part Time
Soccer Shots Lehigh Valley & Upper Bucks is hiring fun, energetic, and dependable Part-Time Coaches to positively impact and inspire children ages 2 through 8 in Macungie, Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Center Valley, Coopersburg, and surrounding areas.
About Soccer Shots
Soccer Shots is the leader in youth soccer development for children ages 2 through 8. Our nationally recognized program offers a high-energy, fun, age-appropriate introduction to soccer, emphasizing both soccer skills and character development. Our goal is to leave a lasting, positive impact on every child we serve.
Schedule
Ideal availability includes at least three mornings per week (Monday–Saturday, not including Sundays) and/or three evenings per week (Monday–Friday). Seasons run as follows:
- Winter: January through early March
- Spring: mid-March through end of May
- Summer: mid-June through mid-August
- Fall: September through mid-November
This is a part-time, seasonal position with opportunities for consistent coaches to return season after season.
Responsibilities
- Lead fun, safe classes for up to 12 children (30–45 minutes per session)
- Follow a weekly curriculum focused on motor skills and character development
- Arrive 15 minutes early to set up equipment
- Engage each child individually while ensuring the safety of all participants
- Manage equipment and class roster
- Attend team meetings and trainings
- Use creativity to make each session engaging and impactful
Requirements
- Safety-conscious, with the safety of all children as the top priority
- Caring, engaging each child through specific and positive affirmation
- Organized, planning ahead and maintaining routines according to the lesson plan
- Responsible, committed to fulfilling expectations as the coach and "face" of Soccer Shots
- Energetic, creating a fun and exciting atmosphere that encourages participation
- Passion for positively impacting children’s lives in a fun and safe way
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- Availability to return for multiple back-to-back seasons
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Prior soccer experience is not required. Previous childcare experience and a passion for working with children are essential.
