Assembly with Machine Set Up Operation, 1st Shift

About the role

PIVOT POINT INC., a manufacturer of non‑threaded fasteners located in Hustisford, WI, is seeking a 1st Shift Secondaries Department Machine Set‑Up Operator (Assembly). This is a full‑time position.

Responsibilities

• Set up various pneumatic and hydraulic presses.
• Hand assemble metal fastener parts (pins, lanyards, rings, etc.) according to blueprints and shop orders for dimensions and tolerances.
• Operate machines and perform duties in a safe manner.
• Maintain expected production rates.
• Read simple blueprints and QC sheets for product specifications.
• Participate as a team member, work independently, and make knowledgeable decisions.
• Engage in excellent housekeeping and safety practices.

Requirements

• 2+ years of recent experience with machine setups AND assembly in a manufacturing environment (metal experience preferred).
• Strong hand‑eye coordination and hand dexterity with small parts; ability to perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods, depending on the assigned machine (must be able to do both).
• Frequently lift/move 10 pounds; occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to learn to set up pneumatic and hydraulic presses and hand assemble parts per blueprint.
• Must be able to pass pre‑employment and random drug testing.
• Solid, long‑term, consistent work history.
• No third‑party recruiters.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints and QC sheets.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining housekeeping and safety standards.

Schedule

• Monday through Thursday, 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM, with overtime as needed.
