About the role
This onsite position in Monroe, North Carolina involves the assembly and maintenance of transformers. The ideal candidate will ensure product quality while adhering to safety protocols and production goals.
Responsibilities
- Splice and crimp leads, connecting them to terminal blocks.
- Follow the Bill of Materials to ensure transformers are assembled correctly, using spec sheets from job packets for accurate turns.
- Measure and cut pressboard as needed; learn to use wood-cutting equipment for making maple support blocks for the CT.
- Load tank assemblies in and out of the oven, ensuring each finished assembly is tested prior to oven placement.
- Maintain inventory of necessary items and ensure tanks, parts, and coils are clean.
- Monitor equipment performance and cleanliness, following daily housecleaning procedures and schedules.
- Practice proper cleaning of equipment and work areas each day.
- Ensure proper documentation and paperwork are maintained.
- Read, comprehend, and strictly follow all documented processes and procedures.
- Review drawings and verify safety features on equipment.
- Meet or exceed daily production goals and quality requirements.
- Utilize the Infor ERP computer system to log time by item and job accurately.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Be available for overtime as needed and maintain good attendance.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer knowledge, data entry experience, and working knowledge of various equipment and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
- Analytical skills and high-level attention to detail.
- Ability to work within a team and independently.
- Operate material handling equipment, including potential use of forklifts or other equipment with appropriate training and/or ITEC certification.
- Physical stamina, strength, and ability to handle heavy equipment.
- Ability to multitask.

Pay
The hourly rate for this role is $19.00–$23.00.
