Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that all assembly processes to produce roller chain are maintained and run to the high levels of efficiency and quality stipulated by U.S. Tsubaki standards.
- Primarily responsible for the operation of stringing processes, power presses, pre-stressing equipment, packaging equipment, greasing equipment and associated inspection equipment.
- Retrieve and replace components from parts storage or prior processes to ensure continuous operation of equipment.
- Assists, trains and develops new operators.
- Previous experience is desirable assembling metal components, utilizing power presses, jigs and fixtures along with a variety of associated inspection equipment.
Requirements
- Must have successfully completed an approved training program as to setting up and operating all equipment in section.
- Must be able to measure and inspect assembled products.
- Basic mathematics essential.
- Must be capable of handling somewhat heavy fixtures and parts.
- Must have the ability to identify various parts from engineering drawings used to produce chain products.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Able to understand and follow procedures specified by the company for Quality and Operation of the assembly process.
- Must be able to follow directions of group leader and set-up person.
- Must be an active team member, capable of communicating and working effectively and harmoniously with their peers.
- Must be flexible and able to change and adapt working practices as required to suit the changing needs of the business.
- Must be capable of running all equipment in section.
- Follow direction / instruction of group leader or supervisor.
- Must be physically fit and capable of handling heavy weights.
