This position assists manufacturing to meet continuous improvement goals such as product cost reduction, improved product quality, reduced cycle times, and process validations.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling and packaging products
  • Filling out paperwork for related assemblies and production activity
  • Communicating discrepancies or potential issues as needed
  • Performing other duties as required
  • Strong understanding of measuring devices, prints, and quality control documents, specifications, and requirements
  • Operating mechanical, electrical, and optical tools and equipment for quality inspection
  • Assisting in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process
  • Working with engineers in conducting experiments
  • Ensuring high quality standards associated with assembly production to manufacture superior medical product assemblies
  • Working from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting functions
  • Using programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct online adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment
  • Performing operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment, or manufacturing processes for basic troubleshooting
  • Assisting in the design, construction, test, and checkout of test equipment
  • Maintaining excellent records and documentation of activities
  • Maintaining records and clean room environment to comply with regulatory requirements
  • Using various measurement devices to record data and produce assemblies to written specifications
  • Maintaining inventory accuracy by performing daily counts in area of responsibility
  • Identifying and segregating non-conforming product
  • Training other/new associates
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers
  • Supporting high-level technicians or engineers on troubleshooting and repair of equipment
  • Performing basic machine maintenance and preventative maintenance
  • Performing basic soldering jobs
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, and assembling/disassembling simple hardware, fixtures, or assemblies

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5-7+ years' experience in a related field
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Microscope experience
  • Broad cross-training
  • Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) using Standard Operating Procedures
  • Manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and visual acuity
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to perform repetitive work while paying attention to detail
  • Maintain product traceability and identification
  • Troubleshooting skills to support high-level technicians or engineers
  • Hardware knowledge: use of DVM, temperature meter, familiarity with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies
  • Basic understanding of electricity
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
  • May act as a Lead to lower-level operator positions
  • Ability to work closely with other people
  • Detail-oriented

Additional Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Controlled Environment Area
  • Demonstrated abilities to train other/new operators

Pay

Salary Range: $26.50 - $33.00 per hour (depending on experience)

This position requires the use of information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Visa sponsorship is not available.
