About the role
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician II (G2). The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm and Friday from 7:00 am - 11:00 am. This position is eligible for a variable pay incentive program.
Responsibilities
- Assembles, wires, and modifies work based on specified guidelines in the manufacture of medium and high voltage, indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and any sub-assemblies associated with these.
- Works to manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instruction from supervisor or team lead to established procedures.
- Fills out ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering as required.
- Mounts and installs electrical equipment and performs wire operations as needed.
- Regularly lifts and assembles with heavy copper parts.
- Reports shortages to appropriate operators of Kanban inventory.
- Inspects all assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness.
- Responds to change notices, customer requested adjustments, and development needs.
- Affords assistance to engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-initiated development work.
- Trains and coaches colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Skilled in the knowledge and safe use of hand and air tools.
- One year of industrial manufacturing experience.
- Basic Computer Skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent.
