Assembly Technician II
OSW Equipment & Repair, LLC, a subsidiary of Federal Signal Corporation, is the largest truck body and trailer manufacturer in the Pacific Northwest. Our main facility is located in the Maltby area in Snohomish County, with branches in Edmonton, Canada and Tempe, Arizona. About the role
As an Assembly Technician on our growing team, you will contribute to the success of the company by safely and efficiently troubleshooting and installing mechanical items on dump trucks and trailers.
Responsibilities
Assembly Technician I
- Drill holes in steel frames
- Bolt on parts
- Run/Feed electrical wiring and hoses
- Zip tie wires
- Take accurate measurements
- Other duties as assigned
Assembly Technician II
- Drill holes in steel frames and bolt on parts
- Run/Feed electrical wiring and hoses
- Zip tie wires and take accurate measurements
- Electric & Hydraulic connection / plumbing
- Basic understanding of air systems & operations
- Basic welding
- Console Installation
- Pump Installation
- Large assembly installation such as tanks and saddles
- Touch up paint
- Body electrical outfit
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a mechanical field with hydraulic system repairs including pump valves, cylinders, etc.
- Comfortable with electrical troubleshooting
- Wrenching experience
- Comfortable using power tools, pneumatic wrenches, grinder, air tools, etc.
- Eager to learn, good work ethic, and able to accept responsibility for work performed
- Leadership skills desired
Skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read service and repair manuals
- Ability to read blueprints or schematics
- Ability to learn and work in a team environment
- Ability to read a tape measure and calculate differences in measurements
- Welding in flat and vertical planes (all position welding) is preferred
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
Pay
$20.00 - $29.00 per hour (non-exempt, hourly position)
Schedule
- Four (4) ten (10) hour days, Monday through Friday
- Overtime may be available on your 5th day of the week and/or Saturdays
