Assembly Tech / Mechanic. Remount Custom Work Trucks.
First shift, Monday - Friday. No weekends. Steady work with overtime available (never forced).
About the role
Looking for someone with 3+ years of mechanical experience to focus on completing body swap projects on time with quality and safety in mind. Our body swaps take ~7 year old equipment in good condition and remount them on new chassis, requiring a blend of assembly skills and mechanical/troubleshooting skills. Must have your own basic hand tools (specialty tools provided). We are happy to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Work safely 100% of the time
- Be on time for work 100% of the time
- Pass drug test and background check
- Stay off your phone between breaks
- Work cooperatively with your teammates
- Get comfortable operating heavy equipment safely
- Learn how to safely operate commercial trucks
Physical Requirements
- Climbing in and out of truck bed up to 40 times per day
- Working with hands above head for 10-30 minutes at a time
- Working underneath trucks on a creeper; installing pumps and PTO's
- Lifting 30-50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
- Working inside a confined space for 30 minutes at a time (16.75” wide)
Skills
- 3+ years of mechanical experience
- Own basic hand tools
- Bonus: Military service (any MOS)
- Bonus: Previous truck equipment experience
- Bonus: Experience with truck mounted hydraulics, PTOs & Pumps
- Bonus: Experience with 12V electrical systems
