About the Role
The Assembly Supervisor is responsible for ensuring quality products are produced safely and effectively according to applicable schedules. They oversee employees, train them, and maintain departmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Access and understand daily and weekly schedules.
- Find, read, and follow work instructions displayed electronically (iPad).
- Correctly use required gauges.
- Identify potential problems and troubleshoot them.
- Assist in training employees within the department.
- Certify employees to operations.
- Perform departmental audits to ensure Work Instruction (WI) and Bill of Materials (BOM) integrity.
- Ensure assemblers are performing operations correctly.
- Conduct group meetings.
- Logically think through problems to make sound decisions.
- Coordinate production to ensure adherence to the Master Schedule.
- Ensure employees are working safely in all aspects of their jobs.
- Provide input to design engineers for ease of assembly.
- Report any damage to supervisors or managers.
- Follow instructions, procedures, and escalate issues impacting workflow, quality, etc.
- Exhibit honesty, integrity, and adhere to rules, procedures, and policies.
- Supervise employees directly, including training, planning, assigning, directing work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Qualifications
- Identify and properly use the correct hand tools.
- Understand threads, fasteners, and use of torque wrenches.
- Understand Bill of Materials (BOM's).
- Effectively and correctly perform all processes in the area being supervised.
- Display leadership qualities to keep employees working effectively.
- Show good organizational skills.
- Supervise many different processes.
- Show good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Preferred: Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 10+ years of related experience.
- Additional one to three months of related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

- Weather Conditions: Outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
- Risk of Electrical Shock: Occasionally.
