About the role

As a 2nd Shift Assembly Supervisor, you will oversee operations staff in a highly transactional or repetitive manufacturing environment. This pivotal role ensures adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standards while driving continuous improvement and team performance through effective leadership and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily work assignments and schedules to meet productivity goals and drive business results.
  • Monitor production activity, identify process issues, troubleshoot causes, and develop short- and long-term solutions.
  • Collaborate with site leadership and other supervisors to establish clear processes aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to Toro standards, procedures, policies, government regulations, quality, and compliance.
  • Prioritize safety protocols and foster a proactive safety mindset in daily operations and decision-making.
  • Communicate clear expectations, goals, and accomplishments to the team, tying efforts to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulations.
  • Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives by advocating for and implementing improvements with the team.
  • Promote a culture of trust and accountability through honesty, integrity, clear communication, and ethical behavior.
  • Engage and support team members' development and collaboration toward common goals while driving business success.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing operations environment.
  • Experience in a supervisory or team lead role is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of supervisory principles, including problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, Kronos, Workday).
  • Ability to understand and follow safety protocols and regulations.
  • Experience in process improvement; LEAN or continuous improvement certification preferred.
  • Ability to meet goals and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

$68,000–$75,000, depending on experience.
