About the role

At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world. This position is responsible for setting up and running the extrusion machine and performing quality checks to verify finished material is in compliance with quality specifications. The role involves daily interfacing with the Planning/Scheduling team to forecast downstream product needs and regular communication with Maintenance and Engineering to address machine performance issues.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate the extrusion machine.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure finished material meets specifications.
  • Interface daily with the Planning/Scheduling team to forecast downstream product needs.
  • Communicate with Maintenance and Engineering to resolve machine performance issues.

Requirements

  • Experience with machine set‑up is highly preferred.
  • Basic machine shop knowledge and ability (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to utilize inspection equipment to measure products for conformance.
  • Working knowledge of hand tools.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum weight of 30 lb.
  • Frequent reaching, standing, walking, and grasping required.
  • Access to information subject to ITAR or EAR regulations; applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, asylees, or refugees.

Compensation

Competitive base salary of $19.00‑$20.00 per hour plus a 10% shift differential for working 2nd shift (subject to change dependent on physical location).
