Assembly Operator I (FIRST SHIFT)

Responsibilities

• Operates various machinery to produce a variety of materials.
• Plans daily work from schedule.
• Loads and operates machinery to produce product.
• Makes adjustments to machinery to correct deviations and ensure proper operation.
• Visually inspects completed product, taking measurements as required.
• Places completed product in designated locations.
• Troubleshoots and performs minor repairs on own machinery.
• Prepares required paperwork and reports.
• Notifies supervisor of equipment or operating difficulties.
• Uses hand tools and basic measuring instruments.
• Operates forklift and hand-truck.
• Follows safety rules and keeps work area clean and orderly.
• Performs a variety of work, using knowledge of electrical, water, air, and hydraulic systems, with supervision, as needed.
• Operates forklift and man lift.
• Operates machinery for testing and documentation.
• Uses hand and power tools, drill press, saw, grinder, and oxy-fuel cutting process.
• Works overtime as requested.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan daily work from schedule.
• Ability to load and operate machinery in area.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and process specifications.
• Ability to use electronic equipment for data entry.
• Good eye-hand coordination, ability to visually inspect product.
• Clothing and shoes must comply with current MIOSHA regulations and current dress code policy.
• Ability to work overtime, as requested.
