Responsibilities
- Operates various machinery to produce a variety of materials.
- Plans daily work from schedule.
- Loads and operates machinery to produce product.
- Makes adjustments to machinery to correct deviations and ensure proper operation.
- Visually inspects completed product, taking measurements as required.
- Places completed product in designated locations.
- Troubleshoots and performs minor repairs on own machinery.
- Prepares required paperwork and reports.
- Notifies supervisor of equipment or operating difficulties.
- Uses hand tools and basic measuring instruments.
- Operates forklift and hand-truck.
- Follows safety rules and keeps work area clean and orderly.
- Performs a variety of work, using knowledge of electrical, water, air, and hydraulic systems, with supervision, as needed.
- Operates forklift and man lift.
- Operates machinery for testing and documentation.
- Uses hand and power tools, drill press, saw, grinder, and oxy-fuel cutting process.
- Works overtime as requested.
Qualifications
- Ability to plan daily work from schedule.
- Ability to load and operate machinery in area.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and process specifications.
- Ability to use electronic equipment for data entry.
- Good eye-hand coordination, ability to visually inspect product.
- Clothing and shoes must comply with current MIOSHA regulations and current dress code policy.
- Ability to work overtime, as requested.
