Assembly Operator - Electrical Production Technician (m/f/d)

About the role

The role of Electrical Production Technician directly supports the company’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install electrical components in wind turbine nacelles and hubs.
  • Route and secure wiring harnesses, connectors, and control systems.
  • Use testing equipment to verify electrical continuity and system functionality.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area to prevent work related injuries.
  • Exceed our production benchmarks by completing specific tasks within the designated timeframe, playing a key role in the collective success of our team objectives.
  • Handle materials by lifting, positioning, and/or removing them from the work area as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve electrical assembly procedures.
  • Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support other production areas as needed and as assigned by the supervisor.
  • In coordination with PQA and Engineering Departments conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of potential electrical connectivity issues.
  • Assist mechanical assembly operators as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Electrical certifications or technical training.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical assembly or manufacturing.
  • Experience in wind turbines, industrial, or automotive electrical systems.
  • Ability to read work instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with overhead crane operation.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain crane operator certification (Required).
  • Familiarity with multimeters, crimping tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Must be able to pass a respiratory fit test (as Required).
  • Working at heights.
  • Understanding of ISO 9000:2000 Quality System is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Proactive identification and mitigation of potential safety hazards.
  • Proper use of applicable safety equipment, including but not limited to eye protection, hearing protectors, steel-toe boots, and hard hats.
  • Effective communication with team members and management to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Fluency in speaking and understanding English to effectively communicate safety and job-related information, follow safety instructions, and collaborate with English-speaking supervisors and team members.

  • Electrical assembly experience.
  • Wind turbines, industrial, or automotive electrical systems experience.
  • Overhead crane operation ability.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain crane operator certification.
  • Pass a respiratory fit test.
  • Safe working environment practices.
  • Effective communication skills.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
