About the role
The Electrical Production Technician role supports Nordex’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality. As an Assembly Operator - Electrical Production Technician, you will install and wire electrical systems within wind turbines, including control panels, sensors, and harnesses, following established quality, safety, and environmental procedures.

Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM-11:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install electrical components in wind turbine nacelles and hubs.
- Route and secure wiring harnesses, connectors, and control systems.
- Use testing equipment to verify electrical continuity and system functionality.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area to prevent work-related injuries.
- Exceed production benchmarks by completing tasks within designated timeframes.
- Handle materials by lifting, positioning, and/or removing them from the work area.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve electrical assembly procedures.
- Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support other production areas as needed.
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of electrical connectivity issues in coordination with PQA and Engineering Departments.
- Assist mechanical assembly operators as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Electrical certifications or technical training.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical assembly or manufacturing.
- Experience in wind turbines, industrial, or automotive electrical systems.
- Ability to read work instructions and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with overhead crane operation; ability to achieve and maintain crane operator certification.
- Willingness to obtain relevant electrical safety certifications.
- Familiarity with multimeters, crimping tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Must be able to pass a respiratory fit test (as required).
- Ability to work at heights.
- Understanding of ISO 9000:2000 Quality System is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining and promoting safety standards at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
- Proper use of safety equipment, including eye protection, hearing protectors, steel-toe boots, and hard hats (loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted).
- Fluent in English to communicate safety and job-related information effectively.
