About the role
The Assembly Operator plays a critical role in our production process by building high-quality products that our customers depend on every day. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with tools, solving problems, and being part of a team that produces tangible results. You will rotate through multiple stations, learn new skills, and contribute directly to the success of our operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble high-quality products by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and pride in every unit produced
- Install and secure components such as wiring harnesses, fasteners, tires, and other mechanical parts according to detailed assembly instructions
- Operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and assembly fixtures safely and effectively to complete builds
- Perform thorough inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure products meet Greenworks' quality and performance standards
- Accurately complete required production, inspection, and quality documentation to support traceability and continuous improvement efforts
- Rotate between multiple workstations and become cross-trained across various assembly processes to increase flexibility and efficiency
- Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and communicate production issues, defects, or concerns to supervisors to minimize downtime and maintain workflow
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to meet daily production targets and improve overall operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment in alignment with safety and 5S standards
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to help ensure a safe workplace for yourself and your team
Qualifications and Experience
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- One to two years of manufacturing, assembly, or production experience is preferred; entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complete basic production documentation
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, or mechanical equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
- A positive attitude, dependable attendance, and a reputation as a reliable team player
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production needs
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn new skills and grow within the organization
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to be cross-trained and take on new responsibilities
- Commitment to safety, quality, and following established procedures
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting materials as needed
