Assembly Operator

About the Role

Run molding machine and pack parts produced.

Maintain 5S in the assigned area.

Report daily production and scrap, and work with employees to resolve production barriers.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Using an air Drill: Tighten lug nuts to reach specs.
• Packaging product: Place material into plastic bags.
• Cutting open boxes: Cut and remove tape from raw material to be processed.
• Scanning labels: Scan finished product into the system using a scan gun.
• Using a scan gun
• Using a label machine: Unroll a roll of labels, place it into the label machine, use the computer to set up the information for that specific job, and label.
• Tapping Boxes: Add bubble wrap if needed, close the box, and tape it close after a box quantity has been met.
• Dipping and Rinsing: Some jobs may require the product to be rinsed or dipped into water or alcohol.
• 5S: Ensure workstation is clean by sweeping, picking up unused material, sacking and putting away unused material, and dumping large trash cans.
• Assembling: Screw two parts together, snap a part into another part, wrap a part in plastic, break down a part and make it into another part.
• Stamping UPS Code: Add a UPC or serial number to some finished parts products using a stamper and press down hard on the product.

• Mechanically inclined.
• Understand and interpret production documentation.

Education and Experience

• Basic Math Skills required.
• Ability to read and write English and comprehend detailed instructions.

Physical Requirements

• Walking/Standing 100% of time worked.
• Able to climb stairs, stoop.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must have dexterity to use hand and automatic tools.
