ASSEMBLY OPERATOR-Afternoon shift

About the role

PTI Engineered Plastics is a leading American custom injection mold and manufacturer of plastic components and assemblies, serving the medical, defense/aerospace, and commercial/consumer products industries. As an Assembly Operator, you will ensure quality product is shipped to the customer using established operator instructions and quality criteria, with data accurately recorded on the appropriate forms.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate assembly equipment per instructions, adhering to quality and set standards.
• Operate and respect assembly equipment as per specific operator instructions for each operation.
• Ensure all information, supplies, and equipment needed are at the work station and used properly.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas at all times.
• Properly fill out all documentation per instructions.
• Work together and support co-workers as needed or directed by your supervisor.
• Recognize the difference between quality and non-conforming product using a quality criteria board/instructions.
• Collect any non-conforming parts not identified on the sample board to update the criteria board.
• Fill out and verify the proper label for the product before placing it on the upper right-hand side of the carton opposite the seam.
• Report any damage, safety issues, or accidents to your supervisor immediately.
• Help maintain the shop’s safety, organization, and housekeeping, including the packaging area.
• Initiate and recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
• Prevent the occurrence of non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality system through appropriate channels.
• Perform other duties as instructed by supervisor or as necessary to maintain efficient operations.
