Job Summary
The Assembly Operator A assembles, labels, and prepares parts for shipping. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assemble and label parts.
- Prepare parts for venting.
- Assemble brackets.
- Debur and de-flash parts.
- Package and prepare orders for shipping.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, bill of materials, and assembly drawings.
- Ability to use small electric tools such as drills, nut drivers, and cutters.
- Ability to read tape measures.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
Education And Experience
A high school diploma or general education (GED) is preferred. Up to one year of related experience and/or training.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly stand, walk, reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently use hands, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Sometimes stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 35-50 pounds.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
- Near moving, vibrating mechanical equipment.
- Exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
- Minimal risk of electrical shock.
- Noise level is usually loud; hearing protection and testing are required.
- PPE required.
- Safety shoes/boots are required.
- Working in the Fab department may require exposure to chemicals as defined in the work instruction for the plating operation area.
