About the role
Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions. As an Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for assembling a wide range of electrical fastening products and components.
Responsibilities
- Work individually or as part of a team to assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, and/or package an entire product or component of a product according to Work Instructions.
- Completes work based on specifications, drawings, job routings, and/or Work Instructions.
- Selects and moves production materials as required.
- Maintains equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation.
- Maintains regular, scheduled quality checks to ensure parts are being assembled up to nVent’s standards.
- Records accurate information on Manufacturing Order and performs transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances.
- Complies with all applicable safety procedures, quality specifications, and 5S Standards.
- Reports adverse conditions, non-conforming products/procedures, and 5S violations to department leader in accordance to escalation procedure.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- In accordance with escalation procedure, notify team leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning safety, quality, equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.
- Demonstrates flexibility by performing rotational assignments as needed.
- Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge in use of scales
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints
- Experience in assembling mechanical parts into a finished product
- Experience in using hand and power tools
- Prior experience working in a light industrial facility

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Hours are typically 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Some overtime may be required.
