Assembly & Maintenance Team Member

About the role

Assembly and Maintenance team members are an important part of the Bish team. This role involves assembling manufactured components for customer delivery and providing internal maintenance support for company equipment. It also includes maintaining and refurbishing company and customer agricultural equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain good condition and cleanliness of company vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment, including returning tools to storage areas.
• Follow all company and safety policies, using required personal safety equipment to ensure a safe work environment.
• Perform basic and complex diagnostics on agricultural, construction, and diesel equipment to determine necessary repairs or future maintenance.
• Complete all service-related reports and forms (inspection reports, work orders) accurately and timely, including data entry on computers/tablets.
• Ensure management is aware of issues impacting customer billing or satisfaction and maintain accurate timekeeping for job costing.
• Perform repairs on equipment (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, diesel) with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Participate in job-related training and development, and actively improve skills through additional programs.
• Collaborate with other technicians, parts, and sales personnel, and mentor Service Technician Apprentices and junior Technicians.
• Work after hours (daily or weekend) as required by customer deadlines and agricultural seasonality.

Requirements

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Own a mechanic toolset appropriate for the required work.
• Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of agricultural, automotive, and lifting equipment.

Pay

Starting wage from $16.50 - $21 per hour.

Schedule

40+ hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday. Additional availability may be required due to customer deadlines and agricultural seasonality.
