About The Role
The Lead Machinery Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial machinery and equipment, while also supervising and guiding a team of mechanics. This role ensures operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement repairs.
- Lead and train junior mechanics.
- Maintain maintenance logs and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
- Support continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- Typically requires advanced vocational training (or equivalent experience) and several years of relevant work experience to carry out the role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with industrial machinery and tools.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Leadership and coordination abilities.
- Knowledge of safety and maintenance standards.
