Assembly, Integration and Test Technician
About the role
This is a pipeline posting and is not tied to a specific, immediate opening. We are building a pool of qualified candidates for upcoming positions. Primary Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and structural assembly of military system components per work instructions, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
- Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and test equipment to assemble, fit, and install parts and components.
- Conduct inspections of in-process and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing setting.
- May require standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and wearing PPE.
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet production schedules.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED with at least 1 (or more) years of experience working in precision assembly and/or manufacturing assembly.
- US Citizen.
- Eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret security clearance.
- Skillful knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and assembling structures with the ability to learn the integration of large structures.
- Proficient in using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP/shop floor systems.
- Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Adept with hand tools including drills, grinders, wrenches and screwdrivers, impact rivet guns, rivet puller.
- Candidate must be a resident of the Albuquerque area or willing to relocate to Albuquerque, NM metro area.
- Willing to work overtime, including weekends, if necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with high voltage (up to 100 kV) and high current (up to 10 kA) power systems.
- Familiarity with Costpoint/Solumina/Agile/Windchill.
- Effective Communication Skills.
- Planning/Scheduling Experience.
- Active Secret security clearance.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this job level is $35,750.00 - $64,625.00. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
