About the role

We are looking for an Assembly Coordinator to join our Greenwood, IN facility on a 1st shift schedule. You will maintain the staging, assembly, and quality for the assembly production line.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming parts for discrepancies or damage; report problems promptly through proper quality forms.
  • Sort and store inventory parts according to blueprints, work orders, part numbers, and other pertinent information.
  • Prepare items accurately for assembly/production by retrieving parts from storage and assembling by order or dispatch.
  • Store materials and parts according to part number or description, performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and stacking safely.
  • Maintain accurate documentation by logging and tracking parts through the Traverse system.
  • Report shipping and receiving details to appropriate departments regularly; maintain a safe and orderly warehouse and staging area.
  • Inspect products for quality and document findings using Excel, Traverse, or other systems.
  • Review quality and assembly paperwork prior to shipping; ensure labels, IFUs, certifications, etc., are properly included.
  • Transact approved quality steps in Traverse and/or online systems.
  • Oversee the quality and assembly team with guidance from the team lead to ensure adherence to the dispatch list and build schedule.
  • Take ownership of the "ship today" list to ensure on-time shipping.
  • Track and maintain efficiency measurements to ensure productivity.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety regulations; wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Help train new employees as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, and whole numbers.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets.
