About the Role

Roll Rite, a Safe Fleet company and leader in truck equipment manufacturing, is seeking a Manufacturing Assembly Associate to join a team manufacturing and assembling Automated Tarp Systems. This role involves partnering with others to produce Roll-Rite systems according to company processes, performing basic wiring, and assembling components.

Responsibilities

• Process parts using saw, mill, or drill press operations.
• Read tape measures, use hand tools, and operate semi-automatic manufacturing equipment.
• Read and interpret manufacturing prints, work orders, and work instructions.
• Assemble parts and sub-assemblies.
• Perform routine daily equipment maintenance.
• Confirm product quality and prepare products for shipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Cross-train in other areas and departments as needed.
• Follow all safety guidelines and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of two-digit numbers, including operations with fractions.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions.
• Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment

• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts in a climate-controlled manufacturing/warehouse facility.
• Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
• Noise levels may occasionally be loud.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Requires close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Regular use of hands and reaching with hands and arms.
• Occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, twisting, talking, or hearing.
