About the role

Assemblers follow specification sheets, drawings, and bills of materials to assemble and mount components, piping, valving, tubing, and wiring, with a focus on electrical wiring.

Day Shift hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:30 pm (overtime as needed).

Responsibilities

• Lift motor/blower assemblies into position manually or with hoists.
• Assemble and install pilots.
• Screw pipe, install valves, and run tubing.
• Cut and install conduit, mount chassis, and perform general-to-final wiring.
• Perform other duties as requested or required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of assembly experience, preferably including cutting and installing conduit, chassis installation, and general-to-final wiring in a manufacturing or fabrication shop.
• Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, air tools, electrical tools, and computers.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations.
• Ability to read specification sheets and drawings, write complex sentences, and communicate clearly in present, perfect, and future tenses.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers 100% of the time.
• Ability to promote a safe and healthy work environment and pass required training/testing.
• Vision requirements: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and color identification/distinction 100% of the time.
• Physical demands: stand 100% of the time, walk 40%, bend/twist/stoup 20%, push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds 10% of the time, and reach/handle parts 85% of the time.
• Exposure to moderate noise, fumes, chemicals, moving objects, heavy equipment, and cordless electrical tools; building is heated in winter and may exceed outside temperatures in summer.
