Assembly and Test Operator I - 3rd shift

About the Role

The Assembly & Test Operator is responsible for performing a variety of simple to complex assembly and test functions with minimum supervision. This position operates the required testing equipment to ensure readings and recorded values are accurate and meet all specifications. An Assembly & Test Operator utilizes all necessary gages and other measuring equipment to ensure that final assemblies meet customer specifications and dimensional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic assembly and test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement equipment in a production environment.
• Hand deburr as required.
• Ensure all equipment is calibrated in accordance with the calibration schedule.
• Produce and inspect assemblies for complete conformance to specification.
• Rework malfunctions disclosed by test data.
• Record test results on data forms.
• Interpret engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, and quality directives.
• Observe all safety rules and maintain a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area.
• May be required to run an automatic weld machine.
• Perform other related responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must demonstrate manual dexterity.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
• Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
• Must demonstrate effective English verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relative manufacturing experience.

Schedule

3rd shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM, Sunday – Thursday. Shift differential offered.
