Assembler/Welder

About the role

Wedlake Enclosure Systems is hiring Assembler/Welders to support manufacturing and fabrication operations. This role assists with welding, fit-up, and mechanical assembly of metal enclosure components, ensuring safe, efficient production.

Responsibilities

• Assist with welding and fit-up of structural components
• Perform mechanical assembly (panels, hardware installation)
• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Support material handling and positioning (training provided)
• Conduct visual weld checks and report defects
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow PPE requirements
• Work with team members to meet daily production goals

Requirements

• 0-3 years of experience in welding, fabrication, or mechanical assembly
• Strong teamwork, reliability, and work ethic
• Comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Flexibility to work 1st or 2nd shift

Qualifications

• Welding certifications (AWS, ASME) or trade school training
• Experience with cranes or rigging (training provided)
• Basic knowledge of weld symbols or fabrication processes
