Assembler/Welder

About the role

The Assembler/Welder supports the fabrication and assembly of enclosure components by performing basic welding, fit‑up, and mechanical assembly tasks under supervision. This entry‑level role (0‑3 years' experience) focuses on developing foundational welding and assembly skills, following work instructions, and contributing to safe and efficient production of enclosure frames, panels, and subassemblies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural welding on enclosure components following drawings and trained procedures.
• Perform basic mechanical assembly, including fitting panels, installing hardware, and prepping components for welding or final assembly.
• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine weld and assembly requirements.
• Support material movement and positioning using overhead cranes or rigging (training provided as needed).
• Conduct visual weld checks, report defects, and assist with rework under guidance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all PPE requirements, including respirators when required for certain materials.
• Assist in setup and teardown of welding/assembly workstations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and maintain workflow.

Qualifications

• 0‑3 years' experience in welding, assembly, or related field (entry‑level).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Willingness to learn and develop foundational welding and assembly skills under supervision.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and use required PPE, including respirators when necessary.
• Comfortable with material movement and positioning (training on overhead cranes/rigging provided).
• Team‑oriented mindset with good communication and collaboration skills.
